According to an ABC report, a lion will sniff and lick a dead lion before devouring it, a chimp will chill around with a dead social partners, so will a cow with its dead calf, but both kinds of species will leave when the body starts to decompose.

Elephants on the other hand, will actually bury their dead, using sticks and brush. They will often return to the burial ground, and congregate around it touch the ivory and skull of the dead loved ones with their feet, which have feelings, often becoming agitated.
